Voicemail Etiquette

Follow these simple rules for a Voicemail Greeting Ms. Manners would be proud of.

First, record your greeting and voice title in your own voice. Remeber, you only get one chance to make a first impression.  Next, be sure to include your extension in your voice title; this will let customers know they have reached the right person and allow them to access you directly when they call again.

Use your personal status to alert callers and co-workers to your availibility to take calls - nobody likes to wait through 4 rings to hear you are out of the office that day. If you are going to be out of the office and can be reached in an emergency situation, let callers know how to mark their message urgent so you will receive it and can respond.

Following these simple rules will give your callers the customer service they deserve and appreciate.
